[19:21] <starcat> did not actually but am considering it. there's only one point holding me back which I will explain further now:
[19:22] <@Shinji Ikari> They're good. Raiders is the best, flat out. Temple is nice but it's dark. Last Crusade tries to be more in the spirit of Raiders but it's more light-hearted.
[19:22] <starcat> I really, really liked this movie. It was smart and fun and action-y, none of which is surprising. (I have three things I didn't like about the plot but I'll list those later in /spoiler, they're nothing that really hurts the story, just technical issues)
[19:24] <starcat> Only thing I personally didn't like are a. dead bodies (eww. skeletons and mummies? grooossssss. One of the major reasons I'm not sure I want to see the others.) and b. vaguely gory deaths, even without a ton of specific details. (see: ants.)

[19:24] <starcat> I can't fault the movie for them, those just aren't things I like. Overall it was really good though.

[19:26] <starcat> [SPOILER] So the body in the warehouse is supermagnetic, yes? So magnetic that gunpowder will find it and that when they move it, the lamps on the ceiling follow. So why didn't it screw up the truck at ALL? I'd have accepted it without that one shot of the lamps swinging to follow it, but if the field is that big and strong it would HAVE to affect the truck.
[19:28] <@Shinji Ikari> [SPOILER] Random suggestion: Perhaps the field was strong but not strong enough to mess with anything THAT heavy. Keep in mind that trucks are really, really heavy.
[19:28] <starcat> [SPOILER] 2: fighting commies in the jungle, also known as the Craziest Car Chase Fight Thing Ever, was awesome, hands-down. Except suddenly there were lots of roads all over instead of everyone single-file behind the cutter thing. Cinematic license takes hold and I can't think of a good way to solve this problem, but it's probably the smallest of the three.
[19:29] <starcat> [SPOILER] But the parts IN the trucks are not. For example, the moving parts of the engine could have been stuck. The axles could be too. Things could have gotten out of alignment. That sort of thing.

Even Indy said prior in the film that he tried once and nearly died. For all we know, those rough roads were from prior attempts.
